| How I can Transfer license from one PC to
another? |
You can only transfer license from PC where you have Cafe Manager Lite registered, to the PC where you have new (unregistered) installation of Cafe Manager Lite
You can transfer license as many times as you want.
IMPORTANT: Please email your new Serial Number to technical support. Serial Number is one of your registration details. It is important to keep it up-to-date.
To transfer a license please do following:
- On PC where you have Cafe Manager Pro Lite registered select Transfer/Upgrade… from File menu.
- On Registration window select Transfer option and type in Serial Number of a target PC (Serial Number of the unregistered version).
- Click OK
- Write down new Unlock and Registration Codes for the target PC. (This will be also saved into a text file)
- On a Target PC enter Unlock Code, Registration Name and Registration Code and click OK.
License on first PC will be expired.

| What if I need to reinstall Cafe Manager Lite on the same system? |
-When you register Cafe Manager Lite it will produce a license file (cmLite.slx). You can find this file in Cafe Manager Lite directory. If you only reinstall Cafe Manager Lite you need to make sure that the license file (cmLite.slx) is in Cafe Manager Lite directory.

Lite be configured
to work with a cash
register? |
- No. Cafe Manager does not have an interface for any sort of hardware devices.

| Can I use any currency in the Cafe Manager? |
- Yes. In Cafe Manager you can use a currency different from Windows default currency. You can enter any currency sign in
Tools> Options menu Program will use that symbol.

| Do I have to install Cafe Manager
on my Network Server? |
- No. You can install Cafe Manager on a separate PC and if you are not using Shield this PC doesn't have to be connected to the network at all. Basically Cafe Manager would be installed on PC at your reception or cash-desk. Simple scheme of Cafe Manager installation could be found here.
If you want to use Shield, you have to make sure at least one is true:
1. You have a static IP addresses for every client PC. If you do not have a server and use only a router, please check with device manual, can you have a static IP address.
2. You can map a network drive to the every client PC from the system where Cafe Manager is installed.

No. Old Unlock code will not work. But you can transfer license from PC where you have Cafe Manager Lite registered, to the PC where you have new installation of Cafe Manager Lite

| What if my system got corrupt and I would need to reinstall whole operating system? |
- Before you reinstall operating system you need keep your current license "alive" Please do following:
- Install Cafe Manager Lite on separate (test) PC
- transfer license from main system to a test system.
After your main system is back you can do the opposite:
- Install Cafe Manager Lite on a main system,
- Transfer license from test system to the main system.
If you could not do this procedure you need to contact technical support with your registration details (your Registration name and/or email address used during registration.) and new Serial Number you've got after your re-install Cafe Manager.

| If I install Cafe Manager on a server can it connect
to the Internet and monitor Internet activity of customers? |
- No. Cafe Manager does not have any interaction with network server and it does not performs any of the server or proxy tasks.

| What is the maximum number of computers I can use in Cafe Manager? |
- Any number you like up to 999. Please Note: Maximum recommended number is 100.
In Cafe Manager go to Tools>CM Configuration
menu, select
General tab and simply type in number of PC in a space provided. Click Apply.
There is only one limitation based on your machine configuration and Operating System resources. Depending on OS resources and amount of background programs running, you may have problems loading a large number of PC-Panels. You may receive one of the following messages:
"Could not load [Number of PC specified] , would you like to load [Possible number of PC panels]"
or
"Failed to load control [name of control], your version of [name of control] may be out of date"
You can either change number of client PCs (consider to purchase a second copy of Cafe Manager and run it on a separate system) or install Cafe Manager on Windows NT/2000/XP as it more resourceful than W95/98
